Le 5 novembre, il y a eu des feux d'artifices partout à Cambridge, comme chaque année. Je me demandais pourquoi et ai eu l'explication. En Angleterre, on fête Guy Fawkes, personnage célèbre du 16e siècle qui a essayé de faire sauter le parlement anglais. Apparemment le film V pour Vendetta en est inspiré.

On the 5th November, English people celebrate the Guy Fawkes Day. I learnt that Guy Fawkes was a famous charachter from the 16e century who tried to bomb the parlement. I learnt also that the movie V for Vendetta was inspired from that story.

Nous sommes allés voir le feux d'artifices de Cambridge et c'était grandiose. J'étais émerveillée comme une enfant.
We went to see the fireworks organised by the Cambridge city council and it was wonderful. I was happy like a kid !
